UAE Leave Entitlements
(According to UAE Labour Law 2021)
• Annual Leave:
30 days paid leave after 1 year of service.
• Sick Leave:
90 days per year:
→ First 15 days: Full pay
→ Next 30 days: Half pay
→ Next 45 days: Unpaid
(Available after probation, with medical proof)
• Maternity Leave:
60 days (45 days full pay + 15 days half pay).
• Paternity Leave:
5 working days (within 6 months of child’s birth).
• Bereavement Leave:
5 days (spouse) / 3 days (other close family members).
• Study Leave:
10 working days per year (unpaid, for university exams).
• Hajj Leave:
15–30 days (not mandatory; depends on employer’s approval).
• Public Holidays:
Around 10–14 days annually (paid official holidays).
